Antique Victorian miniature inlaid wood center table. Made of mahogany and fruit woods, circa 1850-1880. Comes from the estate of the late Beverly Sills, famous opera singer and society beneficiary. Measures a little over 6 inches high. Diameter of top is 8 1/2 inches. Tri-lobed concave base standing on 3 bun feet. Shaped/turned bottom, beautifully worked. The top is fabulous: round in shape with indented sides, rounded edges and subtle wood work of the highest quality. Almost the entire upper surface is decorated with a huge starburst in various lighter and darker coloured woods. There are two small center triangles of inlay/veneer missing (shown magnified in the ''photos). Great patina. Good condition.
