A fabulous high-shaped back French recamier in the Louis XVI manner. The frame flows gracefully across the back with great arches and points. An interesting and unusual decorative piece! This brilliant settee is an amazing example of 19th Century French design, having an intricately carved floral bouquet and ribbon crown and thick fluted legs. It is in outstanding original condition, circa 1880, and measuring 79W x 34D x 39H at the widest points. With a little upholstery this sofa will be absolutely stunning!
