A CARVED ROSEWOOD SOFA WITH LOOPING DESIGN AND COFFEE TABLE
Attributed to J. and J.W. Meeks & Co. (Circa 1840-1860),
Comprising a Sofa and a Pink Coffee Table: The Sofa with an
Oval Tuffed Back in Center Separated by Carved Wood and Tuffed Wings On Each Side of Oval with Velvet Upholstery.
The carving consisting of scrollwork and a looping design and the center section surmounted by a gadrooned molding centering a floral carved cartouche, all above an upholstered back flanked by molded and outward scrolling arms over an upholstered velvet seat above a serpentine seat rail embellished with scrolled cartouches, on molded cabriole legs fitted with castors with a matching pink coffee table.
