circa: 1890 width: 54 height: 31 length: 25 This antique demi-lune sideboard was handmade in Victorian England around 1890. Today, the mahogany displays a deep, lustrous complexion and a pronounced grain, both of which benefit from the development of a rich patina. Brass hardware and carved adornments complement the mahogany beautifully, while a protective glass pane rests on the counter, and brass casters provide convenient movement. The single drawer of course features hand-cut dovetails, as most fine Victorian furniture did. Although this sideboard remains as sturdy as ever, it has sustained a variety of minor scuffs, particularly along the counter and on the legs. Overall condition therefore remains very good.
