Philadelphia Chippendale Lowboy. Original dark red-brown finish.. Mahogany. This Philadelphia, Chippendale lowboy or dressing table, has a rectangular, one board top with molded edges. It is of pegged construction. The two over three deep drawers have heavy brass butterfly pulls. The dovetailed drawers are edged with a thin molding. The a apron is scalloped with a central, feather or leaf carved medallion. The sides are scalloped following the lines of the legs. Four cabriole legs end in claw-and-ball feet. The front knees are acanthus carved with a rosette above. The front corners have reeded quarter columns. Original dark finish.
