This is an exceptional piece of 19th c. craftmanship. An oriental bronze stand or small table in high BAS relief, standing 18 3/4" high. The piece is signed in a Chinese or Japanese character. Stunning detail throughout, with phoenix or dragon on the main body. The top is flat and 10" in diameter (sorry, not enough pictures allowed to show it but we will provide more to prospective buyers). The rich patina is darker than what the photos are showing. There are many uses for this. Display it as it is, put another Asian piece on top, it would look great on top of a large mantle.
