circa: 1890 width: 40.5 height: 43 length: 21.75 This exquisite burl walnut bow front chest of drawers was hand-crafted in Victorian England around 1890. The burl walnut displays a remarkably rich complexion and a highly pronounced, elaborate grain. Recently added during a restoration performed by a highly skilled cabinetmaker, the walnut veneers, along with the solid brass hardware, are a new addition to the underlying solid oak frame of the chest. The result is a gorgeous chest whose fresh appearance does justice to the sturdy structure of this piece. Because this gorgeous bow front chest is newly restored, it remains in excellent condition, and will remain strong and beautiful for generations to come.
