Magnificent, American, Renaissance Revival/Aesthetic Movement, Birdseye maple and rosewood marble top chest in the manner of "Herter Brothers". This exceptional chest of drawers is signed on the back and under the marble by a Bridgeport Connecticut maker. Unfortunately I cannot read the name only the location. Every thing about this fine chest is of the highest quality and workmanship. Every detail is crisp and masterfully executed. The piece is crafted of highly figured Birdseye maple and rosewood, even the interior of the top drawer is detailed, sectioned Birdseye maple. All original, four drawers, Italian white marble and flat plate glass mirror. It has been cleaned and French polished. Excellent condition. 941/2†high x 53" wide x 24" deep.
