circa: 1890 width: 35 height: 34 length: 21 This beautiful antique rosewood-banded mahogany dresser was hand-crafted in Victorian England around 1890 and recently restored by a third-generation English cabinetmaker. Over the years, the wood has developed a lovely patina that has come to enrich the wispy mahogany grain and warm, lustrous complexion. Complementing the mahogany is rosewood banding around the top, while this dresser also features subtle wooden knobs and sits on elegant and sturdy shaped bracket feet. Each of the three large drawers provide a generous amount of storage space and feature hand-cut dovetailed joints. Because this dresser has been restored, it retains much of its original lustre--and perhaps more, given how beautifully it has aged. There only remain a few stress marks here and there (see pictures). At a perfect size for storage as well as convenience, this rosewood-banded mahogany dresser would look great in just about any situation and it will certainly last another hundred years if cared for, so it would make a fine investment for any home furniture collection!
