Exceptionally high quality Jacobean Revival walnut desk. Every detail of this fine piece of furniture is top notch, from the use of furniture grade walnut on every inch including the interior of the drawers and back to the way every drawer fits to perfection. There are two large "secret compartments" big enough for legal papers and the top frieze drawer fits so well it could also be considered hidden. The desk is large and sturdy, with brass supports. The interior has four small drawers with original hardware and shaped compartments. There is one large drawer with original hardware, beneath the desk and the large frieze drawer on top. The secret compartments are accessed from the back. Very good condition with some old restorations to the two top corners and missing a lock for the desk flap which does not affect it's use. Beautiful soft warm original finish in excellent condition. 51 1/2" tall x 39” wide x 20 1/2” deep.
