Empire Commode. Light brown patina; white and black; and red; blue; white; brown and black paint.. Wood and marble. The commode has a white marble top with a molded edge and a long dovetailed drawer with wooden pulls beneath. The drawer section over hangs the lower portion which has two doors, one with a keyhole. The inside is divided into two sections, one section has two shelves. The paneled doors are hand painted. Within a cathedral shaped outline is a drum and flags on one door. The other has a guitar and flags. The sides are paneled. All the corners curve as does the wide apron. The commode rests on four bun feet.
