Here is an outstanding French period Empire commode with elaborate bronze figural mounts. Also having a flawless slate black marble top. In the traditional form of the period, flanked by columns and symmetrical lines. This piece represents 19th Century craftsmanship at its finest, having four hand dovetailed drawers offering ample storage capacity. Note the rich, burled patina that is original to the piece, c. 1850. Overall in magnificent antique condition. A handsome piece for any design. Measures 51w X 25d X 37h.
