Unique mechanical dessert table. This incredibly well designed adjustable sideboard, goes from a simple console table to a solid, three tiered serving table with virtually no time or effort, via a clever counter-balance design. All fine, solid, honey colored oak, with the exception of the decorative top surface which is done in a four panel, light and dark chevron veneer. When the table is closed you just need to lift up on the top to open and when it is in the three tier position you press the "buttons" on the bottom of the top column to lower. This handsome table is completely free standing and features grooved columns, a well turned stretcher and carved feet. We have never seen anything like this and think it would be wonderful for entertaining or in a restaurant for the display of pastry or desserts. Very good condition with old refinishing and a repair to the top surface. 45 1/4" tall in three tier position. 44" wide x 23" deep x 32 1/4"tall when in the single position.
