Beautiful figured mahogany veneers on this 2 drawer stand. Each drawer has fine hand cut dovetails with original sandwich glass knobs. One knob has large chunk from face and another has chip to back section. Top has bookmatched mahogany flame veneer while drawer faces and slides and a crotch mahogany. Each drawer is flanked by a tapered and ring turned post in the style of Rufus Porter Boston MA. Stand is supported by a turned post and solid mahogany scroll legs. American, MA or NY c1830.
