circa: 1960 width: 27 height: 31 length: 27 This beautiful antique style inlaid kingwood occasional table was hand-crafted in Italy around 1960. Inlaid with flowing, petaled vines of satinwood and rosewood, butterfly-veneered with kingwood and hand-painted, the Italian floral table top looks extraordinary, which is fitting since inlay was developed during the Italian Renaissance. Solid brass Italian trim and ornate gilding complement the wood beautifully, while a lower tier provides extra storage for, say, a small plant or some small object. Although this Italian inlaid occasional table is very sturdy, it has sustained numerous small scratches in the table top, which are difficult to detect in any case, as well as small, superficial splits in the corners (see pictures). Otherwise, condition remains very good and this Italian inlaid occasional table would make a fantastic addition to any home or office furniture collection!
