A fabulous pair of 18th Century hand painted consoles in the Louis XVI style, featuring the original Carrera white marble tops. This pair are completely original with excellent patina and all extensively carved wood, not gesso; as you would normally see in similar pieces. In the traditional form of the period, with carvings of fluted legs, egg and dart designs, free standing urns, all wrapped with floral wreaths and bouquets. They have all of the great vintage 18th Century craftsmanship you would expect, and are in remarkable overall condition for the age. Please view all pictures to appreciate the quality.
