An exceptionally fine American Federal Mahogany Pembroke Table from New York City, 1810-1815, with the original brass casters, in outstanding condition. A virtually identical table was sold in the celebrated sale of Mr. Berry B. Tracy, Sotheby's, New York and was labeled by workshop of Charles Christian, 90 Fulton Street, a few doors down from the workshop of Duncan Phyfe. Christian's shop was commissioned by the Mayor's office in New York to make furniture for City Hall in 1814-1815. Height 27.50, Width (Open) 42 .25, Depth 34.
