An early 19th C. English black lacquered, hand painted Chinoiseriee tea table with tilting birdcage mechanism, the round shape top on a turned column, over a square shaped plinth, supported by 4 toupee feet; gilt decorated with classic "China Trade" garden scenery, featuring palm trees, pogodas and courtesans. All original finish, decoration, birdcage mechanism and locking peg. England, C. 1840. Dimensions: 28" H x 34" W.
