An English Brass Conservatory Tripod Stand, Made by William Tonks & Son Dated 1884. The tripod table has a circular openwork top supported by a central column with three splayed legs terminating in ball feet. ;From the registration number, the design dates to 1884. I think this is quite a striking and beautiful Aesthetic Movement stand, somewhat crossing the designs of Christopher Dresser and W.A.S. Benson. Marks: on underside of top ;Rd. 4444 & W T & S Height: 30 1/4 inches
