Rare 19th C American Federal Salem, Massachusetts Carved Mahogany & Flame Crotched Mahogany Bowfront Chest, Circa: 1810-1815.. The rectangular top and bowed front with ovolo corners above the case fitted with four graduated cockbeaded long drawers flanked by engaged reeded columns, with acanthus-carved and star-punched capitals, on inverted swelled legs ending in tall ring-turned cylindrical feet. In a superb state of preservation. Period oval brasses. Wonderful mellow nut brown patina
