This chest is solid wood construction and a good size piece at 43.25"L X 20"H X 21.75"W as it sits.Some wooden feet could be installed to raise it up however high you wish and provide you a slightly different look but I will leave that to you or let's discuss beforehand. Right now, it is the perfect height for a coffee table or for the foot of a bed. It is painted using eco-friendly, non-toxic paint that will never chip or peel but rather wear gracefully.
