circa: 1800 width: 61 height: 27 length: 22 This stunning antique oak trunk was hand-crafted in England around 1800, during the Georgian period. Over the past two centuries, the solid oak has developed a lovely patina that enriches the natural beauty of the wax-finished wood. The carvings are simple yet elegant, while the bun feet and hinges remain sturdy. The single lock in the front no longer functions, and there is a variety of surface wear on all surfaces of the trunk, including broken moulding, scuffs, etc., but overall condition remains very good and this beautiful, charming piece straight out of history would make a fantastic addition to any furniture collection.
