19th Century British Campaign Chest, Mahogany exterior and with solid Mahogany drawer backs, bottoms and sides, pine back boards, original brass binding and brass flush drawer pulls, replaced brass lift handles and replaced mahogany feet, and original brass drawer locks. These chests are more easily transported because they separate into two sections and for that reason were typically used by British Military Officers during their tours of duty around the British Empire. They were also occasionally used by the wealthy on Safari because of their portability. The older finish is in very good condition and there are several proper small wood repairs on the surface.
