This coffer is unusual in its long and narrow size, making it well suited for a hallway or other location where depth space is limited. It also doubles well as a bench. Its weathered appearance would fit in especially well with a rustic, country decor.
Condition: Nearly all original and "untouched", including the weathered finish. The hinges are early replacements, probably from the 18th century. General wear, cracks, and scrapes from age and use. Top slightly warped.
