A British "Wormy Pine" Chest of Drawers, Probably Irish, The chest with two rows of two drawers in highly figured chestnut now on replaced base. Wormy Chestnut refers to chestnut which, weakened by blight, was infected while alive with insects. ;The resulting wood created wonderful richly coloured and figured wood for furniture making.
