Pair of Primitive 18thC Ladder-back Chairs. Old red-brown finish. Wood and splint. Each hand carved chair has 2 back slats that are slightly (but unevenly) curved on top and bottom. The eight hand carved stretchers pass through the stiles and posts. The front posts rise above the original thick splint seat.
