Mid-century modern chair designed by Norwegian Tormod Alnaes (1921-2003). This elegant chair is made of rosewood on an aluminum frame with black leather upholstery. Stylish modern design. Very good condition save for a 1 inch tear in the leather seat that would need repair and just minor scratches on the wood and frame. Tormod S. Alnæs (1921 - 2003 ), Interior Architect at the Ncad in Oslo, Norway. He was a professor at the same college. His furniture designs have been represented at the triennial in Milan, at world expositions in Brussels, New York and Montréal as well as in different European cities. Mr. Alnæs also received different diplomas of honour for good designs. 12 of his products received rewards in design competitions. Measures about 30 inches high x 28 inches wide x 29 inches deep.
