Even if someone is not into antiques, I think everyone will be able to appreciate this very solid, high quality piece of beautiful American furniture.
This is a very beautiful oak cabinet. I know very little about the cabinet other than it has been in our house for 40+ years.
It is approx. 125 years old ( end of the 1800's ) is what I am told. It Measures 51 inches wide by 19 inches front to rear, and 71 inches tall.
There is one key that works and comes with it. If you look closely you can see it in one of the photos.
The glass is original from that era as well. The "egg and dart" ( aka "egg and tongue" styling ) detailing was considered highly stylish during that era.
The question was asked of me if the cabinet could me moved in sections. Yes, the top half of the cabinet simply sits on the lower half. Both pieces would fit easily in a full size pickup truck for moving purposes.
Please contact me if you can tell me more about this piece or if you have any further questions for me.
