Important 19th Century American Renaissance Revival rosewood parlor cabinet. Beautifully restored, with all over impressive detail, this piece features a gilded gesso center medallion of a fully costumed Roman soldier seated on his war horse and gilded gesso busts of classical figures in each corner. It also has banded inlay, gilt incising and brass trim. The interior is bird's-eye maple with the original bird's-eye maple shelves.
