We believe this started out as a built in kitchen unit circa 1850 and was converted to a free standing unit about 1870 based on the hardware change. This unit has a CEDAR back and solid Walnut construction on front and sides. This unit is 7 ft tall and is one unit. It is 42 inches wide. The base is 18 inches deep the upper is 12 inches deep. This would be a stunning piece in and dining room or period kitchen.
