Height 62", width 59", depth 21".
The carving of the front panels and the vertical stiles were common design elements of Flemish furniture in the late 1500's and early 1600's. Examples of this style can be seen in the book, "Mobilier de Belgique et de la Flancre Francaise", by Edith Mannoni, pages 17, 19, 26, and 29.
Condition: In good condition and mostly original. The back consists of boards from another piece of early furniture. The three shelves are original except of the back section of one. The lock is an early replacement, and functions. the escutcheon, hinges, and probably the two door latches are original. Some worming to the top, which is original. This piece has an attractive old light-brown patina.
