circa: 1960 width: 40 height: 76 length: 15 This elegant bow front bookcase was crafted in England around 1960 as a Georgian period reproduction. The most striking feature of this bookcase is of course the yew wood itself, which shows a lustrous complexion and a pronounced grain that have only grown more beautiful over the years. The bow front design and astragal glass moulding also look quite striking, making this bookcase quite a site to behold. The glass shelves likewise contribute to the beauty of this bookcase, ensuring that the shelves do not intrude on any aesthetic appreciation of the piece. The top and bottom doors also lock, so storage is both plentiful and secure. Although very sturdy, this bookcase has sustained some superficial wear, most notably to the veneers on the sides and lower cabinet doors, which you can see in the pictures accompanying this listing. Overall condition therefore remains very good.
