circa: 1890 width: 44 height: 87.5 length: 21 This antique mahogany bookcase was hand-crafted in Victorian England around 1890. Over the years, the mahogany developed a lovely patina that has helped to enrich the deep, lustrous complexion and the pronounced grain of the mahogany, while brass pulls contrast beautifully with the wood. The unique partial astragal glass doors look especially striking, making this bookcase quite an attractive and unusual piece. With a total of three upper adjustable shelves, two interior shelves below, and two locking drawers, this bookcase also offers plenty of storage space. Although it has sustained some surface wear, including various scuffs, fade to the finish, and a stain on the lower left door, this bookcase does remain very sturdy, so overall condition is very good.
