American Late Victorian double-door bookcase / curio. Amazingly all original, no refinishing or restoration, never before on the market, quarter-sawn oak and stained glass cabinet. This charming piece of turn of the century furniture has two large doors with curved tops and fine original stained, beveled and leaded glass top panels. Above the doors is a delicate, foliate carving. The deep, top edge features a highly figured and curved decorative band of quarter sawn oak veneer. The rear legs are plain and the front legs are carved animal paws. This bookcase retains all it's original, adjustable shelves (four) and finished back. All of the hardware, brass handle and hinges, interior catches, working lock and key are also present and original. The photos were taken in the home it came from and we have since cleaned the cabinet and added casters which can be removed. 43†widest (at feet) x 13†deep x 62†tall (with casters), the inside usable depth is 11 3/4".
