This is a splendid Bookcase made from solid and nicely patinaed walnut by the second half of the 19th century. This very decorative piece is consisting of a flat molded cornice sitting upon a step-back façade providing a single door mounted with an handsome arched beveled glass pane surrounded by intricate carving depicting acanthus rosettes and foliates and flanked by 2 pairs of adorably turned tapered column, all standingon ball feet. The interior compartment is spacious with 4 original beveled wooden shelves. Note that that hardware and glass panes are in original condition. Some minor scratches and dents can be seen here and there due to the age. Circa date 1880. Dimensions: 72 ¼â€(height) x 33 ½â€(wide) x 17 ¼â€(depth)
