This is a handsome and lovely patinaed Retour D’Egypte Day Bed (Referring to the French Campaign in Egypt and Syria that started in 1798 and ended up in 1801). This elegantly simple piece is nicely accented with cast bronze ormulus depicting woman’s face and supported by boldly sculpted claw feet. Note minor scratches and dents here and there due to the age. Circa date 1800. Dimensions: 39 ½â€(height) x 38â€(wide) Frame: 72â€(long) x 33 5/8â€(wide)
