Obverse: "Shimon" Reverse: "To the freedom of Jerusalem" A VERY SHARP and attractive Zuz with jug and palm branch symbolizing the festival of booths in the Temple. As a mark of rebellion, Shimon Bar Kochba did not prepare his own flans but overstruck his coins on those of the Romans. On this one the back of the emperors head is visible.
