Syracuse is on the Eastern Shore of Silicy. Due to its geographical location, it was an important commerical maritime and military port. Many (Most) Ancient Coin collectors consider coins of Sicily during this period as the most beautiful of all ancient coins.

Rev: Arethusa, Dolphins around
Diameter: 24 mm diameter (about the size of a US Quarter but 3 times as thick)
