Historical Context: This coin was minted in Babylon about 328 to 310 BC. This ancient and illustrious city was surrendered to Alexander the Great about 331 BC. This city is one of the best known of all ancient cities and was at the height of it's power during the 7th and 6th centuries BC.

(almost the size of a US Quarter but two times as thick)
