Marsh, Gilbert & Co. Founded By: William
Lewis Gilbert in (1807 - 1890)
(1834) Around this time period, the company
moved to Dayton Ohio, but after a year the
company returned to Bristol.
(1837) John Birge joined the clock firm, name
was changed to Birge, Gilbert & Co. Soon after,
Chauncey & Nobel Jerome & Zelotus Grant
became partners with Gilbert.
