Combining beauty and fine quality, the Ansonia Clock Company's "Choktaw" model mantle clock. has a full-chime eight-day, spring-wound movement housed in a neo-rococo glazed earthenware case. A design of dogwood blossoms and butterflies plays over the surface highlighted in hand-painted tones of mauve and soft green with gilt detailing. The handsome reticulated dial features enameled Roman numerals. American, late Nineteenth Century. Approximately 11 inches high by seven inches wide by five inches deep. Excellent working condition.
