Extra large, heavy, antique book, heavily illustrated with good and evil by Gustave Dore. The front cover board has beautiful embossed gold graphics. The boards do have age wear and the back board is no longer attached to the book. Great coffee table book or gift idea with hours of intriguing story. Measures 13" x 10 1/2" and weighs about 8 pounds. No printed date that could be found but hand writing in the front says it was given as a Christmas present in 1883 so it could be older than that. 239 pages.
