Hardback, rare original 1853 United States Constitution book dedicated to each of the new members of the Senate to be supplied with the same number and description of books as were furnished to each of members of the Senate of the last Congress. Passed by the senate 5th of January 1853. Printed by T.K. & F.G. Collins. Note: There is a stamp on the inside cover with the name J.W. Van De Water, Brooklyn, N.Y., might be the same person that is on the 1898 roster of the Holland Society, N.Y.C. March 30, 1887. Hardback w/blind embossed decorated boards and gilt lettering front and spine. Spine is worn and torn with corners frayed. Pages are in good condition.
