the brothers Jacques and Charles Biederer, Czech origin, settled in Paris shortly before World War I, by registering officially as portrait photographers.
it is from the 20s that their logo disappears to take pseudonyms. they start producing a " mass " by working for publishers of postcards.
All buyers are developed fantasies, but the brothers were able to stay away from dark side or demeaning environment, choosing models of an environment that exudes relaxation and good mood. they provide the early 1930's photos for album - books as " the ArdenteTutelle " Jim Galding, the first in a series of which this lot is part.
