Circa 1880 Chinese Export Cache Pot with undertray. Bough pots,Jardineers,Planters and cache pots are getting harder and harder to find in famille rose patterns such as rose medallion, mandarin and canton. Especially with matching under trays. Fresh out of a Philadelphia Main Line Estate is this nice little beauty. The top opening measures 3" in diameter and is almost 2" in height and depth. The undertray might not be matching but it fits. Both pieces are in Good Condition.   « Less

Late 19th Century Limoge Jardiniere with matching base and stand. This is definetly one of the Limoge Factories that had made these flower pots with a stand in the latter part of the 19th century. There were many of these companies in France, known in Limoge with Haviland being the front runner and a name everyone can probably compare with. Sets of dinner china with many serving pieces are the most well known product that was specially made for department stores all over the world. This is a RARE Pedestal with original base that fits on top of the stand and a Jardineer sits on the base. These three parts are all in Good Condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. Only gilding losses from being handled so many times over the years. The stand measures 18" in height and with middle piece and the jardineer the entire height is 29" in total height. Perfect for orchids, plants for all seasons.   « Less

Mid 19th Century English Pair of Cache Pots with original under-trays. Cache-pots, jardineers and other flower containers are very much in demand by decorators for their clients. This pair is in very good condition with only one shallow nick to the bottom of one of the under trays. These pots each have their drainer. The pots measure 6" in height and are 6 1/4" in diameter. The oval decoration of flowers and greenery is on the front and back of each pot. Nice gilded lion's head as side handles. Very little wear to gilding. The apple green background is a very pleasant color as a background to the floral scene. The underplates are original with the same apple green background. Extremely minor wear to gold. These cache pots are priced very moderately.   « Less

The top opening is 4" and the base measures 4" in diameter. Excellent Condition. This is a Beautiful Gold Imari Jardineer. I am dating this and other size jardineers that we just purchased as Mid-20TH Century. This is the Largest of the four and the height is almost 9"(8 7/8") to be exact. The top opening is 9 7/8" and the base measures 6 1/2" in diameter. Excellent Condition. No Damage or Restoration. Inside of this jardineer shows that a plant had been inside of this beautiful piece. There has not been a hole drilled in the bottom for drainage.   « Less

These are also referred to as cache pots in the Schiffer Book on Chinese Export Porcelain on pages 110-111. Chinese Export jardineers,cache pots,planters are very popular in this day and age. They could be used inside preferbly but also used on a froint porch or patio. This one does not have a drain hole as some do, but works very well the way it is.   « Less

Circa 1840 Chinese Export Famille Rose Celadon Jardineer measuring 6" in height and the top opening is 9". The base measures 5". Nice detailed decoration of colorful flowers, greenery and a white stork. The bottom of this planter has a drain hole in the middle for water. The customary underplate for this item is gone. This is usually the case as they get a beating from dirt and water over run. A nice Chinese Export Plate about 7" in diameter would surfice. Planters, Jardineers and Cache Pots are hard to find but we are determined as they add to a interior and exterior design when accompanied by flowers and bulb plants, etc. There is a old restoration under the top lip/rim where the bird is, but hardly noticeable. It could be restored professionally, but is not that necesary.   « Less
