A lovely Arts and Crafts era table scarf with embroidered hyacinths in pinks, blues, purples and yellows Trimmed in lace, the panel has printed blue accents surrounded with a border of black ( some breaks to the black border) The condition is very good. It has not been laundered. There are no holes in the fabric or stains. There is some toning on the line where it had been folded for years in storage. the last picture is of the back of the piece. A classic white on white decoration roses makes this round table linen oh so elegant. The fabric is finely woven white cotton. I do not know what the needlework term is for how the decoration was applied, but it appear that a heavy thread was sewn tightly down onto the fabric in an undulating fashion. There are embroidered accents on the rose petals and circular medallions. The condition is very good, with no holes in the fabric. There is one darker spot the size and shape of a grain of rice. Some slight toning to the folded edges. This has not been washed. Bungalow Bill doesn''t know how to wash linens. There is an accented circle in the middle of orange which creates a contrast. The condition is very good with just a hint of a water mark at one side.
