Advertised in 1950 “With One Easy Stroke” to remove paint! This unit does work and does so by softening the paint, allowing it to be peeled off and exposing the wood beneath. Designed to remove any paint or enamel quickly, it is very sturdy with a strong oak handle and sports a very long cord jacketed in neoprene. It was advertised as a tool that could be used on any interior or exterior painted surface, floor, woodwork, cabinetry, furniture, antiques, boats, sills, screens and doors.



Originally selling for $4.95 in 1950, it also has a built in stand for safety, billed as an “Automatic Safety Rest”. This particular unit is in very good shape.



This is a beautiful vintage tool that quite possibly can still be used today!
