This is an unusual vintage Japanese Oribe art pottery round bowl with a spout, about 6-1/4" in diameter, 1-3/4" high. There are three holes intentionally placed, two on the front and one in the back. It is possible that the bowl was made to hold a hanging plant, and the spout allows the drained water to be poured off. The body has characteristic wheat colored body decorated with green and brown designs. There is also characteristic fine crackling in the wheat colored section. There are no chips or cracks. There is a signature on the bottom which I have not identified. This could date any time from the late 19th to mid 20th century.
