An outstanding example of Nazca art! Southern Peru, Ca 200 to 300 AD. Polychrome jar wonderfully painted with the Nazca Lord of the Under World clutching two small heads, his body morphed into spiny slithering creature from which two legs emerge, another head at the tail extending a long serpantine tongue. 4"H x 4-1/2"D, intact/generally excellent condition, save minor surface flaking, as shown!
