From Jerusalem, an ancient Byzantine "early Christian" pottery wine amphora, nicey decorated with engraved circular lines all around the body, two handles and a short neck. A hole on one side as shown in the pictures probably used for pouring!
Byzantine Empire, 330 - 600 AD
Measurements: Height: 45 cm - Diameter: 32 cm + Stand: 65 cm
Condition: Intact, not repaired and not restored with very nice earthy patina as found
